DavidLadymanDavid Ladyman has edited, developed and created games and game books for almost four decades, including SJG, FASA, TSR, Origin, Bullfrog, EverQuest, Star Wars Galaxies, and others. Currently, he’s publishing Cloud Imperium Games’ Star Citizen magazine, Jump Point, and new ship brochures, managing their freelance authors, and contributing to design.

David began his career in games as a playtester for board games at Metagaming, and later Steve Jackson Games. He then moved into helping run game conventions and games at those conventions, including an interactive convention game that we called Hexworld: up to 100 players travelling back and forth between eight gamemasters. Eventually this lead to a job at SJG, on GURPS and CAR WARS, and editing the first few issues of Autoduel Quarterly, a Car Wars magazine set in the fictional future of that game world. Afterward, David spent a few years freelancing before ending up at Origin. There he worked on every Wing Commander, Ultima and every other game Origin shipped from 1991 to 1997. Since then he’s had his hands in the manuals and documentation for a number of games, including MMOs EverQuest: The Ruins of Kunark, City of Heroes, The Matrix Online, The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, and RIFT, before landing at Cloud Imperium where he is today.
