Surprise! You might have noticed a change in our URL as well as our site name.
The good news for all you Dragon Con fans is that there are no longer separate tracks for “Video Games” and “MMOs” anymore. We’re all one big happy family now. I won’t bore you all with the details, but we’ve decided that the line between MMOs and other Video Games is so blurry as to be unrecognizable and that our programming should reflect that.
So it will.
Even better news, we aren’t getting rid of any panels or content. Both track rooms will be running all convention long, so if you’ve got your favorites from the Video Gaming Track, they aren’t going anywhere. If you’ve got things that you absolutely must see from the MMO Track, they will still be there.
With this “merger” comes a rather unique challenge/opportunity. For the first time in a long long time, we’re looking for more volunteers. Not just one or two, but several. If you’re interested, feel free to drop me a line via the contact form on this site. If you don’t hear from me in a day or two, you can try videogamingfans (AT) dragoncon [DOT] org.
Our first official planning meeting for Dragon Con 2014 will be in a couple of weeks. Unofficially, we started planning about 2 days after getting home from Dragon Con 2013. Stay tuned!
