Interview with Artix

Adam Bohn, also known as Artix von Krieger, founded Artix Entertainment in 2002. Guests of the MMO track for several years, the Artix panels are always packed and entertaining. We trapped Adam in a logical conundrum and forced him to answer 5 Questions in order to escape.

How did you first hear about Dragon Con?

Artix Entertainment’s 1st employee dragged me kicking and screaming to DragonCon 2004, which was my first ever convention. EVERY year since, the growing staff of our video game studio has faithfully attended.

What do you look forward to the most at Dragon Con?

Not much. Just the concerts, shopping, movies, shopping, celebrity guests, shopping, table top gaming, shopping, running our Artix Entertainment panel, shopping, and stealing an empty room at 1am and running a “secret panel” for all of the random people who stumble in. (unless an official who would be mad about this sort of thing is reading this in which case the last one never happens every night we are at con.)

Top favorite attractions? Voltaire concert! Venture Bros panel! ….and did I mention the shopping?

If you could meet any three people, living or otherwise, at Dragon Con, who would they be and why?

Two words, repeated three times. Joss Whedon. Joss Whedon. Joss Whedon.

What is your proudest professional achievement?

I was trying to get 100 people to play my game (Artix Entertainment’s first game AdventureQuest at www.Battleon.com.) But ended up getting over 100 Million players! O_O

If money (and time) were no object, what is the one costume you would wear at Dragon Con?

A Jeager mecha from Pacific Rim. To scale.

Bonus: You can have the panel with Joss Whedon inside the torso, with music by Voltaire.
