MOG Nation Shoutout

Because they have helped us out so much in preparing for Dragon Con this year, I did the “soon to be infamous” 5 Question Interview with Eric “Ivan of MOG” Marquardt from MOG Nation.

How did you first hear about Dragon Con?

Ok, so I was doing research for an article I was writing on summer conventions and I ran across a photo of a girl with green punky hair wearing an outfit made out of duct tape.  Upon seeing this I had to know where this was taken and lo and behold I learned about Dragon Con for the first time and also that I have a thing for girls in skimpy outfits made out of duct tape, but that’s for another interview.

What do you look forward to the most at Dragon Con?

Well this question has a three part answer.
First off I have been working with a very talented crew of people for the last year and have yet to meet a one of them in person.  This year’s Dragon Con will fulfill that wish so I am very much looking forward to that.
Secondly I am looking forward to meeting all of the convention goers and making some new friends I hear things get a little randy and I am always up for some of that.
Third I am looking forward to seeing some girls in skimpy outfits made out of duct tape…did I already mention that?

If you could meet any three people, living or otherwise, at Dragon Con, who would they be and why?

  • Billie Dee Williams:  He played Lando Calrissian, c’mon people!
  • Joss Whedon:  To thank him for Firefly and to pick that brain of his for some nuggets of wisdom
  • The MMO Track Team:  There are all dudes with bald heads and goatees it’s like going to D*C and Sturgis all in one what a bargain!
Oh yeah and I also want to meet t a girl in duct…oh forget it.

What is your proudest professional achievement?

Honestly having a booth at D*C this year.  You will learn soon what we have planned and it is big…I mean BIG.  This is  a big achievement for this organization and I look forward to seeing if we can pull it off.

If money (and time) were no object, what is the one costume you would wear at Dragon Con?

Full replica Darth Vader costume with voice modulation and breath sound fx…but then again if I did that I would be like one of 50 dudes in that outfit wouldn’t I.  So I would say then an 80 foot Voltron replica with full robotic control now that is bad ass, or maybe I could wear a duct tape outfit…now that’s just getting out of control.

Any other comments that you’d like to share with the class?

Duct Tape Girl I love you!  Please don’t tell my wife.
